Polished Match-3 Gameplay

Around the World in 80 Days plays like many other match-3 games with power-ups, barriers, and challenging board designs. The hammer power-up can be upgraded to more powerful versions of itself if you continue to make matches of four or more tiles without using it. For example, the first hammer only destroys one tile, while the second hammer destroys all tiles of a selected color and so on.

With one round of match three play equaling a day of travel and the fact that, in their adventures, Phileas and Passepartout spend a number of days in each country, there are more than enough levels to keep things interesting for even the experienced player.

Progressive Difficulty is Spot On

Around the World in 80 Days sets the gameplay difficulty right on target. It eases in new and old players through the first few levels and builds up the complexity of the challenges as you progress.

Even experienced fans of match-3 games will find the challenges of later levels rather daunting at times.

A stake is a post of the Reform Club Chairman that now belongs to Mr. Stuart. Together with the newly hired servant from Paris named Jean Passepartout, Phileas Fogg starts a tremendous journey. But they won’t cope without you! First of all, they need to pack and find all the items! Keep in mind that every second counts! In this charming Match 3 game you need to swap adjacent tiles and match three or more tiles of one color. The pieces of an item that you are to collect are scattered all over the play field. If you get rid of the tiles below the item, you can drive it to the bottom and collect it. Fabulous power-ups are waiting for you at every level! The more tiles you match and the longer chains you make, the faster power-ups are recharged and upgraded. For example, a hammer can help you destroy one tile and free the way for the item pieces. But the hammer can be gradually upgraded to a bomb that will destroy several tiles, and Tesla hammer will crush the tiles of one particular color. However you need to remember that power-ups are not carried to another level – sometimes you’d better use the less powerful unit instead of upgrading it and losing precious time. By the way, timer in the upper corner shows you how much time you have left. At the end of every level a useful tip appears, remember all the tips to become a real professional! Gradually, you will gather many necessary objects – a note-book, where the main character writes his story, a compass, a globe showing you the route, and many other things.
